Finally, I feel like decorating for fall!

I have been wanting to bake, decorate, create and organize.
Hmmm, I know I'm not pregnant...
Remembering back I think I feel this way every fall.
Another thing that helped the creative juices get flowing was going to the Kitchen tour with my friend Deb. There are some fabulous kitchens out there! My favorite was the Wilkinson ranch. The home was so much a reflection of the couple that owned it. Very rustic with memorabilia of his rodeo days blended in with Carolyn's excellent decorating style.

So when I got home, I had this urge to put a little fall on the inside of my home.
My simple candle arrangement makes me happy. The leaves on the bottom of the charger are ones I have been collecting on the walks I've been taking with friends at the All Sports Park. Oh, the fall colors are so beautiful there. I will take a picture tomorrow and share the beauty with you.

The cards I'm sharing today are made with Cosmo Cricket's Earth Love collection. I bought lots of it because the colors are so me, yep the Fall Girl.
I hope that wherever you are you have a beautifully blessed day. Take a moment to look at the beauty God has given us this day. Let the beauty within show too!
On that note, I'm going into my studio to create.

New Card Classes!!

My friend Anna has asked to do some card classes for her.  Yeh and whoot whoot!! I love teaching how to do what I love to do, thank you Anna.
Anna is a Creative Memories Consultant (you can find her here).  Creative Memories has these super cute packs that I'm using to make Christmas cards. You could also use them to make scrapbook pages (we all know that's our other love ;~).  Reminisce Christmas Additions is the one I used to make the cards above. The coolest thing is that everything except the ribbon, brads and cardstock for the base of the card comes in the pack!  Designer paper in 12 x 12 as well as  pre-cut double sided papers, word stickers and the cute cardstock stickers that I've used on these cards all comes in the one pack. The cards I'll be showing you have a beautiful vintage feel, and this isn't all!  I'll be able to get 10 cards out of this one pack!!

You need to pencil us in on your calendar for Anna's Christmas Open House on Saturday, November 13th from 10 am to 4 pm. She's going to have Gold Canyon Candles, Creative Memories, Jewelry Making with Patty Tatum, Me and my cards, food and crop time, if you want. I think it will be well worth checking out and I'll have more info for you soon and more cards to share!

I'm going to leave you this: What did the pumpkin with a boo boo need??

A pumpkin patch!! (Wah, wah, wah)

My first challenge entry!!

I did it!! I entered my first challenge with Splitcoaststampers.com!! This is officially is SC302.
I made this card with last year's Kaisercraft paper that I had in my stash
(ah stash... ;~)
The challenge is to take a sketch and make a card from it.
Have I mentioned that I really like sketches for scrapbooking?
Well believe it or not, this is my first sketch for cards!
I usually start from scratch with paper I want to use and go from there or
I take a card idea I like and then tweak it to make it my own or
just out and out copy it!! (Not too often and when I do, I try to get permission)
So... this was really fun and I just might have yet another addiction (I was getting low on them, ha).

If you'd like to try this you can find Splitcoast here. If the site seems overwhelming, don't give up!  Give me a shout and I'll help you out
(I'm there for you babe ;~)

In closing, let me leave with this thought:  GO GIANTS!!! Beat Philly!!

Travel Banner for my Studio!!

I had so much fun making this banner! I have a travel theme in my studio so I made a TRAVEL Banner!
Oh and maybe I should mention, I LOVE to Travel!!
I used 7 Gypsies for the background paper which I placed on chipboard with Zip Dry.
(my fav for paper on chipboard ;~)
I love the new Steampunk by Graphic 45 and the way I could use snips and pieces.
Tim Holtz Filmstrip ribbon, Tissue Tape, Gears, Metal Word tags, stamps and Grunge Paper (for the flower on the "L") and Distress Ink could not be left off.
Tattered Angels Glimmer Chips "Tattered Traveler" were perfect for this also.
A little bit of ribbon here and there and wah lah!!
Creative Memories letters were perfect for the funky style I had going on.

I hope you had a great day creating something you love, if not, I hope you have creative dreams!

A little Graphic 45 Alice in Wonderland Halloween

Graphic 45 "Hallowe'en in Wonderland" is so much fun to work with. This may not be my last card from this collection either.
Can you tell that the Alice, Hallowe'en and Mad Hatter cards to the right are in a little envelope. I folded it from one of the papers in the collection so the Queen of Hearts would show. The Cheshire cat got a spot on the card and I love the Tim Holtz arrow and key to help tell the story of Alice and her
Hallowe'en in Wonderland.  Hope you like the card.

Here's 2 more to complete the set

These are the last two cards in the set for my class on the 12th of October. I have been in a great zone creatively and haven't taken a break to post.
The "thanks" card is made with Basic Grey's "Pyrus" Collection.
I used BoBunny's "Noel" for the card below. This just might be my Christmas card for this year! It is so elegant but yet a very simple card. I have really enjoyed working with one design four ways.
I hope you'll try it!

The next posting will be Alice in Wonderland two ways. Graphic 45, need I say more?
XO (for now),
